Tree Structuring and Bracing Services
Imperfections in a tree’s physical architecture can result in structural weaknesses, which arborists call “tree defects.” The most common of these defects can be ameliorated by one of The Veron Company’s certified arborists.
-
Cavities are hollow or rotten portions of branch or stem where fungi have caused a portion of the woody tissue to decompose.
-
Seams and Cracks, which result from a naturally-occurring growth defect or excessive movement during storms or heavy winds.
-
Weak Branch Attachments, growth defects that can occur in most species of trees
We are experts in the use of structural braces to add supplemental support to tree defects. While this does not eliminate the possibility of tree failure, it reduces the potential and allows us to preserve trees that might otherwise break apart or have to be removed. We install both cable brace systems and rod braces to reinforce defects in both shade trees and ornamental trees.
