DEEP ROOT FEEDING

A healthy soil is one of the most important factors in maintaining a healthy landscape. In the forest plants receive many of their nutrients from the decomposing leaf litter. In our maintained landscapes, this benefit is not provided to the plants. Often our landscape plants fail to flourish and may even go into decline due to poor soil or lack of proper nourishment.

A balanced blend of 100% pesticide free deep root fertilizer includes precise amounts of slow release nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and micronutrients to enhance the health of the plants all season long. Deep root fertilization is a process where a Veron certified technician injects the blended fertilizer directly into the soil within the root zone of your trees and shrubs. The slow release fertilizer will provide the plants with the necessary nutrients they need throughout the entire growing season

The best time for deep root feeding is in the fall when the plants are most readily absorbing nutrients to store for the winter months. During the fall and winter, they will develop reserves in their root systems. These reserves will help with root development, greener foliage, improve overall plant health, and will improve flower production.

WINTERGUARD PROTECTION

Because of the cold and windy winter months we have, our evergreen trees and shrubs need a little protection. At Veron, we treat these plants with a late fall desiccant spray that prevents the wind and cold temperatures from drawing the moisture out of the plant. Unprotected plants can be severely damaged, and in some cases, cause dieback. This winter burn can take place when the soil temperature is below freezing and there are winter winds drawing the moisture out of the plant. The waxy coating we apply to the needles and leaves of the plant last all winter and then dissipates as the plants begin sending out new growth in the Spring.

HORTICULTURAL OIL

Horticultural oil sprays are the ideal way to prevent tree and shrub damage from insects. Horticultural oil is a safe method of preventing insects on trees and shrubs without the use of harsh chemicals.
